Smartvue is the only IP video solution that uses 802.11N draft wireless cameras for true plug and play installation that can replace many wired applications. Current customers run cameras at ranges from 800? indoors to a quarter of a mile and more outdoors. Most other IP video cameras use 802.11 ab/g which offers significantly less wireless range and throughput. Smartvue?s MIMO (multiple input multiple output) technology is a compelling new approach that addresses wireless IP video challenges of range, reliability, signal fading, interference and limited spectrum. Smartvue is the only IP video camera to use multiple antenna techniques that increase spectral capacity by delivering two or more times the peak data rate of a system per channel or per spectrum. For example, Smartvue delivers speeds of 108Mbps in 17MHz of spectrum (6.35 Mbps/MHz). This compares to the peak capacity of 802.11a/g (even with beam-forming or diversity) which delivers only 54Mbps in 17MHz of spectrum (3.18 Mbps/MHz), or to channel bonding techniques that transmit 108Mbps in 40MHz of spectrum (2.7 Mbps/MHz).
