Eliminate cables and the labor cost to install them. The LM048SPA2 affordable wireless adaptor effectively replaces expensive or hard to run RS-232C cabling. Using Bluetooth Class 1 wireless technology, the LM048SPA2 allows remote serial devices, such as kitchen printers, to be installed up to 100 meters from the host.
In many applications remote POS printers are located in environments that would normally require a cable run under a fl oor, or through a ceiling. The expense of an electrician or qualifi ed cable installer is typically more than the cost of this simple, reliable wireless device. Installations are faster and temporary or seasonal installations are simplifi ed. In POS applications, the adaptors can be used to run printers or poll systems. There are many other additional applications in other industries, including medical equipment, instrumentation, security systems, vending equipment and outdoor signage/scoreboards.
The installation kit includes everything necessary for most applications: two LM048SPA2 adaptors, two 9-pin mini gender changers, DB9/DB25 serial port adaptor, power supply, two Mini USB to USB power cables and two user guides.

Security
For maximum security, the LM setup utility employs the improved encryption levels available in the latest versions of Bluetooth. Bluetooth uses channel hopping, encryption, passwords, and other security measures to prevent the LM048SPA2 from being seen by other BT enabled devices. Paired adaptors connect only to each other and reject connections from any other
device.
