pcAmerica to Release Digital Signage Feature with Logic Controls Pole Display
pcAmerica announces the creation of a new digital signage feature in the company's upcoming release of Cash Register Express and Restaurant Pro Express version 12.5. The attractive interface is the first point of sale package to display transactions and digital signage on the new
Logic Controls LV3000 LCD Pole Display. It can also be used with a standard LCD monitor.
The new module offers users an eye-catching, easy-to-read display with several color schemes and various screen-configurations. At the checkout counter, the solution offers the option to display the last three items rung up, rather than displaying purchased items one at a time as on a traditional two-line pole display.
"Until now, digital signage has been an expensive proposition for business owners looking to enhance their retail and restaurant locations," said David Gosman, CEO of pcAmerica. "Typically, a digital signage setup involves several vendors and requires specialized components, expensive software and monthly service fees. pcAmerica's solution is an affordable alternative--it is built-into the software, requires only a Logic Controls LCD pole display or a second monitor and can be hosted locally or on the Internet."
The LV3000 is the latest in customer display innovation introduced by Logic Controls. Apart from the traditional 2 by 20 text-based display, the LV3000 is equipped with a 7-inch LCD monitor and can be used for delivering multi-media messages. With a high 500:1 contrast ration and WVGA 800 x 480 optimal resolutions, the screen assures clear visibility for this small-sized LCD module.
"pcAmerica has repeatedly demonstrated their commitment to providing their resellers with a superior software solution,€ said Ron Witkowski, Distribution Channel Manager for Logic Controls. €"Their recent software update, allowing digital signage and certification of Logic Control€s next generation LCD pole display, enables resellers to propose a next generation solution to the end user channel. Resellers can anticipate high end user demand for a digital signage solution at their locations."
Digital signage offers retailers and restaurant owners the opportunity to present advertising to an audience when it counts the most--while they are in the store. Using digital signage, business owners are able to convey their most important messages, including in-store specials, upsell or cross-sell promotions or advertising that helps generate cooperative marketing dollars from their vendors to fund their digital signage initiative.
The Market Leader
Logic Controls pole displays are widely known as the market leaders for PC-based POS systems. They have long set the standard for reliability, value and functionality - reasons why most end users and value-added resellers ask for Logic Controls customer displays by name.
